Reflector

The Reflector is the rarest type, less than 1% of the population. All 9 centers are open — there is no internal definition at all. That makes a Reflector a fully open system: they amplify every person nearby and accurately reflect the health (or lack of it) of a group. The aura is sampling — it is not fixed, it tastes. The Reflector's strategy is unique: wait a full lunar cycle (~28.5 days) before any major decision. During that time, the Moon transits each gate in their chart, and each activation gives a different angle of perception. Only by going through the full cycle can a Reflector know what they themselves think (and not someone else's thought reflected through them). When living correctly, every day surprises them; in the not-self, disappointment dominates — the gap between what people could be and what they are. The environment matters greatly for a Reflector: they need to live near healthy people whose state can be reflected.

For major decisions, wait the full cycle of the Moon (~28.5 days). During the cycle, each transit activates a new gate in the otherwise undefined chart.

When Reflector follows their strategy, the signature — Surprise — appears. Off-path, the not-self emerges as Disappointment. This is the simplest practical signal of whether the strategy is being honored.
